- Luxe LightWrap is a translucent tinting wrap vinyl specially created for use on your taillights, headlights, marker lights, and chrome. LightWrap is safe for any car, truck, SUV, motorcycle and just about any other clear plastics you want to tint. Our material is of cast construction and features air-release technology meaning it goes on easy and bubble free, and it will conform to even complex shapes. All you need is basic wrap tools like a heat gun, squeegee, and WrapGlove, and it can be cut with a razor or utility knife and knifeless tape products.
- LightWrap FX Metal Series is the only textured carbon tinted vinyl created specifically for lights and chrome. It is created by using 3M 8900 metal laminate, so it will match 3M brushed metal vinyl perfectly. Wo DO NOT suggest using this on forward facing lights like headlights, because the carbon texture scatters the light beams and renders the optics in the lights useless.

Luxe Auto Concepts recommends you always measure your lights or trim before purchasing one of our wrap kits. Add a few inches on each side and then cut the material for the job. The more film you have to work with the easier the installation will be, and the more complex the shape the more extra material you should have to help spread out the tension.

I purchased the Dark Smoke Metal two years ago and did a DIY install. It lasted a year before a bubble appeared about the size of a dime. It lasted another year before it expanded to a quarter size and tore open. I purchased a yard, hoping to replace just the half where the film had torn. I found that the existing film had faded, from two years, more than I expected. My Redeye is garage kept and I put maybe 2,000 miles a year on it going to car shows. Not much exposure to the elements. When I applied the new yard of film it seemed to allow more light through it in the direct sunlight. When in the sun I could see "through" the film more easily than the older tint. I had to tear it all off and order another 2 yards. This time I had a professional installer install the product. My DIY project included a single piece applied across the center light panel, then two individual piece on the outer lights. This took me 8 hours. The Luxe video only demos the easiest part of applying this film to the taillight. I challenge Luxe to providing a video showing the install for the much more complex center panel and using the thicker film like the smoke metal. Not as easy as a standard film and requires a lot of patience. A lot of patience and well.....a lot of patience. Still, money and time aside. I love the end result!!
I love the product, been a big fan for years and recommend it to anyone who asks. I also tell them that if they want to do what I have done to my Challenger with a single piece across the entire center section, that they are going to have to expect it to only last two years. A $140 investment every two years plus install ($250+) is something most people seem to shy away from here..... Better for me, it makes my car stand out. I would encourage Luxe to stay on top of the quality control. If this film needs to be replaced more often it would not be worth the money.
The wrap looks very nice, and luxe was quick to fuck the order
I ordered 10”x20” of the dark metal taillight tint film to replace a section on my challenger. Quickly to discover the grain/texture did not go to length of the film. I did not see anything noted on direction as I would on other vinyl wraps I’ve ordered, I figured it was a standard. Upon my immediate discovery I emailed Luxe Costumer Service on the misunderstanding. I have not had a return email yet, but if I do I hope to have this small issue resolved, the tint is like $33, it’s kinda expensive for the size of what it is, but I do hope to hear back from them to resolve this small inconvenience. Over all great products. Look forward to purchase more in the future. As for now 2stars for lack of response, and also the lack of detail on noted film texture direction.
Makes my car look like a tank 😂😂
